Are Nepalese also restricted to enter Nepal from any corona infected countries ?

KATHMANDU, 19 MARCH | The Government of Nepal on Wednesday decided to refrain from entering Nepal from Europe, West-Asia and all the Gulf-Countries, Turkey, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan from Friday night 12:00am to till 12th of April.

We also contacted the hotline launched by Tribhuvan International Airport for further clarification on the matter. According to information received, even Nepalese coming from designated countries are banned from entering Nepal.

An airport staff said, "Unless another decision is made, Nepali citizens will not be able to travel to Nepal from the designated country." According to the information provided by the airport, this rule will come into effect from tomorrow at 12:00 am.

The Nepalese Embassy in Qatar also issued a notice on this issue today:

URGENT NOTICE REGARDING THE ENTRY RESTRICTION IN NEPAL

This is to notify everyone concerned that as part of the preventive measures with regard to COVID-19, Government of Nepal has decided to introduce entry restrictions for all passengers travelling to Nepal from Europe, West-Asia and all the Gulf-Countries, Turkey, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan directly or as transit passengers effective from 20th March, 2020 (Friday) midnight Nepali Standard Time (NST) to till 12th April, 2020 midnight (NST).
