The US H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ graduate level workers in specialty occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise in specialized fields such as in IT, finance, accounting, architecture, engineering, mathematics, science, medicine, etc.
A specialty occupation requires the application of specialized knowledge and a bachelor's degree or the equivalent of work experience.
The duration of stay is three years, extendable to six years; after which the visa holder may need to reapply. An H-1B visa allows an individual to enter the United States to temporarily work at an employer in a specialty occupation.

H1B Visa Requirements:
The H1B visa applicant must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the H1B visa Apply:

Prospective petitioners (also known as registrants) will use a new “registrant” account that became available as of March 1, 2020.
The initial registration period for H-1B registrations will open at noon on March 1 and run through noon on March 20.
